What PocketBiz is
PocketBiz is a tool for taking bookings, collecting deposits and sending invoices. We're not part of the work you do. You're the one responsible for turning up, doing the job you've listed, and sorting out anything that comes up between you and your client.
Payments and your Stripe account
You connect your own Stripe account and you are the merchant of record for every payment your clients make. Deposits go straight to you. PocketBiz never holds your clients' money, doesn't guarantee payments, and isn't responsible for refunds or chargebacks — those sit with you and Stripe. We take a small percentage fee on deposits, shown before you connect.
Fair use
Don't list services you can't deliver, don't use PocketBiz for anything illegal, and don't use it to mislead or defraud people. Don't try to break, overload or get around the way the service works.
This is a beta
PocketBiz is provided "as is" while we're testing. Things may change, break or be unavailable from time to time. We can't promise it'll be perfect, and we're not liable for lost bookings or lost income.
Plans, fees and cancelling
Setting up is free. The free tier includes unlimited services and up to 500 bookings a month. If we introduce paid plans we'll tell you the price before you subscribe, and you'll be able to cancel at any time from your account. Because a paid plan starts straight away, you'll be asked to agree to that when you sign up; if you change your mind within 14 days and have barely used it, email us and we'll refund you.
Your clients' data
You own your client list. We handle it on your behalf under our Data Processing Terms, which form part of these terms. You're responsible for telling your own clients how you use their details.
Closing an account
You can close your account any time by emailing support@pocketbiz.co.uk. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts clients at risk, and we'll tell you why where we can.
Who we are, and the law that applies
PocketBiz is a UK-based service operating at pocketbiz.co.uk. Our registered trading name, company number and postal address will be listed on our Contact page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If something goes wrong, email us first — we'd much rather sort it out directly.
